How to design a retro logoDesigning retro logos (be it for companies, organizations or sports teams that you've made up or ones that you didn't) is a very long but ultimately rewarding process.

If you're like me, you'll want to assign a general era for your logo (in my case I usually try and pin the logo onto an exact year, which I wouldn't encourage).

Since I'm not terribly good at generalizing old logos from before about 1930, I'll describe logos from after that year.

Keep in mind that I'm trying to give advice here, not direct instructions.

This is an ad by FutureTECH for a 1982 Lancia Monte Carlo coupe, from 1974. The ad is made in a style similar to old Dodge ads from the mid-1970s. If you don't understand how it is possible for a 1982 model year car to be available in 1974, check out the company history here: [link]

Also, don't bother trying to call that phone number, it's not even long enough anyway. Also yes, I know that $45,000 was a very large sum of money for a car in 1974, and it still is today. But that's just a running gag I do in my advertisements.
